Phonisol
PULL's specially developed mass mat for isolating large sound sources. Phonisol is a flexible sheet with a very high density for optimal results. It can be used both as a hanging curtain or as a weighting of existing sheet material to reduce the sound transmission between two rooms. Phonisol can easily be cut to size with a knife or scissors and is easy to glue with construction glue.
The product can be used for air insulation for floors in commercial and residential construction, panel construction, yacht construction, coach/bus construction, machine casings, ventilation ducts, and retaining walls. It can also be used as a freely hanging acoustic curtain.
Flexible with high similar mass
Phonisol has been specially developed as an insulation layer between a construction part and a sound source. It is important with sound insulation to apply as much mass as possible between a source and receiver. The more mass present here, the less sound is transmitted. The construction that is insulated is part of the mass, but the insulating effect is improved by weighting with a flexible material. If this material is too stiff, it can vibrate too easily. Phonisol is a heavy plastic mat that is very flexible and has a high density. Depending on your wishes, available with or without jute insert.
Phonisol can be cut to size with a box cutter or sawn with a band saw. Due to its flexible properties, the mats can be easily attached to curved surfaces. It is recommended to glue the material with contact glue or two-component glue, a self-adhesive version is optionally available. With a jute/cotton inlay there is a better adhesion when gluing.
